FML CHAMPS!!!!!

LINDEN ATHLETICS HAS A GREAT WEEK

HEART, PRIDE, AND RELENTLESS SPIRIT DEFINE LINDEN ATHLETICS THIS WEEKEND

It was a stretch of days that captured everything Linden stands for — heart, resilience, and the unbreakable spirit of a community that never stops believing.

On Thursday night, the Linden gym roared as the Linden girls volleyball team captured the Flint Metro League Championship in dramatic fashion, defeating crosstown rival Lake Fenton in a four-set thriller. Three of the sets went into overtime, each point a test of will and focus. Linden’s relentless energy, teamwork, and determination carried them to victory and solidified their place atop the Metro League.

Then on Friday night, the Linden Eagles football team took the field against state powerhouse Chelsea, one of the top-ranked programs in Division 3. The first half told one story — Chelsea stormed out to a commanding 28-point lead, and the crowd fell quiet. But what happened next will be talked about in Linden for years to come.

Fueled by passion, pride, and an unwavering belief in one another, the Eagles erupted in the third quarter — scoring 28 unanswered points to tie the game and ignite the stadium. Every hit, every run, every defensive stand was met with thunderous roars from the Linden faithful. It was football at its purest — grit, heart, and brotherhood on display.

Though Chelsea ultimately pulled ahead in the final moments, the scoreboard couldn’t measure what Linden showed that night: true character, unity, and fight until the very end. The team walked off the field not defeated — but defined by their courage.

And to cap off an incredible few days, the Linden girls cross country team delivered a phenomenal performance at regionals, finishing second overall to qualify for the MHSAA State Finals. Their dedication, training, and unity over the course of the season paid off in a powerful way, as they punched their ticket to Michigan’s biggest stage.

Across every field, court, and course, Linden athletes showed the heart of champions — competing with pride, lifting one another up, and reminding us all why the Eagle spirit soars higher than ever.

We can’t forget Ben Sushynski…Ben is the lone boy’s runner going to STATES!  Congratulate them all when you see them and great job coaches….Go Eagles!
