The children and staff at Argentine are loving our gnome, sponsored by Seniors Helping Seniors!

Argentine Staff Spotlight: Mrs. Heather Ezell
Mrs. Ezell has been an educator for over 30 years, recently joining the Argentine team as a teacher in Classroom 2. Her favorite part of teaching is seeing the sparkle in children's eyes as they discover and learn more about our world. Mrs. Ezell loves Argentine because it has been a wonderful place for her to return to a classroom after raising her children. Everyone and everything is geared to young children and to helping them learn and grow.

Argentine Staff Spotlight: Mrs. Kursty Switzer
Ms. Kursty taught for two years before taking time off to raise her children; she has been back in the classroom and at Argentine for the last four years. Ms. Kursty's favorite part of teaching is seeing the joy and magic on the children's faces, watching them grow from three year old "babies" to four year old independent kiddos, building connections with families, and those daily hugs and smiles! Argentine is special to Ms. Kursty because Argentine was her boys' first school experience (Play Together Learn Together); she says that Argentine made it easy on her as a mom to trust letting them go; it felt like home from day one. Everyone was so kind, caring, nice, happy, and went above and beyond. Ms. Kursty feels lucky to be a part of the staff at Argentine and to be able to provide similar experiences to other families.

Argentine Staff Spotlight: Mrs. Shaun Liss
Mrs. Liss has worked at Argentine for the last 20 years, 14 of those as a Lead Teacher. Her favorite part of teaching is acting out a story or using fun voices while reading to the children. She also loves hearing kids use the phrases staff model to resolve conflict all on their own. Mrs. Liss loves Argentine because we are a small staff with big hearts.

Argentine families, please read this important message if you are participating in the parade with us on Friday. Last-minute additions are more than welcome!
We have to be in place at Price's Airport no later than 6:15. The parade is larger than usual, so parking and finding us will likely take a bit of time. Our position is 5C; volunteers will be onsite to direct us where to go when we arrive at the airport.
Please wear light-up attire and/or accessories and dress WARM. The predicted temperature at 6:00 on Friday is 26 degrees.
Strollers and wagons are more than welcome- we will be walking the entire route. Thank you for helping us represent Argentine!

Preschoolers in Classroom 1 at Argentine read "Do Frogs Drink Hot Chocolate?" today, which is a story about what animals do to stay warm. Then, the kids built their own homes for animals using marshmallows and toothpicks.

Argentine Staff Spotlight: Mrs. Monica Raddatz
Ms . Monica has been teaching preschool for a little over a year, and started at Argentine this school year. Her favorite thing about her job is seeing the look of excitement on the kids' faces when they master a skill. Argentine is special to her because both of her children attended preschool here.

Preschool families, help us complete our 2024-2025 enrollment. We have just 12 slots left to fill before December 1! If you know a four year old who is not yet in school (they don't necessarily have to live in the Linden School District) send them to Argentine's Enrollment Page: https://argentine.lindenschools.org/o/aecc/page/early-childhood-information

Argentine Staff Spotlight: Mrs. Jillian Boughner
This is Ms. Jillian's first year at Argentine, and her second year teaching. Ms. Jillian loves watching children's eyes light up when they figure something out, and she loves Argentine because we are the beginning of the district's learning community. She is proud to be able to be one of the students' first in-school educators.

Argentine Staff Spotlight: Ms. Alisha Mitchell
Ms. Alisha has been teaching for four years, three of them at Argentine. Her favorite part of teaching is watching the children's growth happen throughout the school year and the celebrations when a child notices he or she has learned something new. Ms. Alisha loves Argentine because it is a special and safe place for children to grow and learn. There is a good group of teachers that provide a nurturing environment for all students, and she loves the support she gets from her co-workers.
CONGRATULATIONS on being promoted to Lead Teacher, Ms. Alisha! You're going to be amazing!

Argentine families,
This is a friendly reminder that there is no school Friday November 22 through Friday November 29 (with the exception of Ms. Kathy and Ms. Kursty's classroom on Monday 11/25) due to four-year-old conferences and the holiday. We hope you have a safe and relaxing break, and we can't wait to see our little learners on Monday, December 2.
